I regret to inform you that this event has been cancelled for Sept. 23, 2017 due to low registration.
All entry fees have been refunded in full as well as all transaction fees. All people who registered for the event have been offered complimentary entry to the Two Rivers Marathon Festival on March 24-25, 2018.
We had our most successful Two Rivers Marathon Race Festival in March 2017. Several athletes asked if we could have a fall marathon and half marathon. A big reason for the growth has been the oversized, HUMONGO Finisher’s Medals, the unique apparel and the post race food!
Registration is only $50 until June 30!
$50 for either the full marathon or the half marathon!
I have just added a 5k and 10k race. You’ll get the humongous finisher’s medal, singlet and food at a very fair price.
Here’s the course map. It is being certified now and will be a Boston Qualifier!
This gets you a great race, 6″ finisher medal, a very cool singlet and our well known post-race buffet! I’ll add photos of the medal and singlet soon.
Our goal is to be the most athlete-friendly event in the country. We want to provide the best race day experience possible. We do this with a beautiful course, the best schwag and great food.
7am race start at Rosecrans Park, 107 Scenic Drive, Lackawaxen PA 18435.. Prerace check-in starts at 5:45am at the park pavilion. The 5k and 10k start at 7:30am.
Packet pickup is also available on Friday, Sept. 22 from 3pm-6pm in the park pavilion.
There will be an early start for those that would like to start before the main pack. You can start at 6am or 6:30. Please plan on having your own water for the first few miles, as we will be setting up the aid stations. You can leave your water bottle at an aid station and we’ll get it to the finish line. We want to have the water stations ready early, but if you start early, please carry water just to be sure.
Registration is available here:

Course description: I’ll add an elevation map. I’ve tried to make it as flat as possible, but it is the Poconos Mountains! If you are familiar with the Two Rivers Course, much of it is the reverse of miles 2-11.5. No buses to worry about. You start and finish in the same area. You’ll be on Masthope Plank Road at the point it meets the Lackawaxen River. The first 2 miles are flat along the Delaware River. There’s a short climb, then rolling for 4 miles. You’ll then find the climb on the course. It’s about 200 feet over .6 miles. You’ll then have some rollers until the end of Plank Road, where you’ll turn right. It’s rolling for the next 3.5 miles until you make it to the turnaround. You come back the way you went out. The big hill becomes a nice downhill. At mile 10, you’ll find a 65 foot climb in .25 miles (try to remember how nice it was going out!). There’s rollers for a mile, then flat all the way to the finish.
The half marathon is on the same course. You’ll just turnaround just after the big climb decribed above (sorry!).
The 5k and 10k follow the above courses and go out and back.
